July, 1957: Jack Kerouac moved to number 1418 Clouser Avenue, Orlanda, Florida. Here Kerouac awaited the release of his breakout novel On the Road. The book would turn a largely unrecognised writer into a defining voice of American literature. It was here also — over 11 days and nights, upon 10 feet of teleprinter paper — Kerouac would write the manuscript for follow-up novel The Dharma Bums.
